Freestyle Ice!!

Lake City/Spokane FSC Freestyle Ice Purchase

Welcome to our freestyle program. We are excited to have you on the ice with us. We
appreciate everyone’s patience with our COVID ice purchase system and we have decided to make it our new process!! Here are our ice fees:

Lake City Figure Skating/Spokane FSC Member Fee: $11/hour
Non-Member Fee: $15/hour
Learn to Skate Lesson only (Snowplow Sam-Basic 4 ONLY): $5 - this only allows you to skate for the amount of time your private lesson is offered for. If your skater would like to practice longer you must purchase the full hour.

We are currently posting ice buys 1 week in advance. Please look for the next weeks ice buy to be live by Saturday of the week before. We are at the mercy of Frontier Arena’s schedule so there may be times that our ice buy is published earlier or later. When we can publish 2 weeks worth of ice buys we will.

If you have any questions please direct them to Moe at lakecityfs@gmail.com

Welcome back everyone!!!

Our Mask Policy

Lake City Figure Skating & Spokane FSC are currently enforcing a mask mandate. This means that all parents and skaters must wear masks inside the building at all times. This includes parents waiting in the lobby or rink area waiting for their child to skate. Masks must fully cover your nose and mouth.
Skaters on Freestyle sessions are required to wear masks at all times when inside the building. Skaters are required to wear their masks when they are on the ice and unable to be socially distant (ie. while working with your private lesson coach or working with peers in a group). Skaters may pull down or remove their masks while they are actively skating.

Skaters in group lessons who are 3 years old or older are required to wear a mask covering their nose and mouth at all times on the ice. Given the nature of group lessons and the inability for these very young skaters to socially distance from each other and our coaches we will continue to be very strict on this policy.

While we understand everyone has a different level of concern regarding COVID-19 Lake City Figure Skating & Spokane FSC are taking the risk very seriously. We have coaches, skaters and parents who are at higher risk for the virus and we feel it is important to still offer skaters their sport and coaches their ability to work during this time in an environment where they are safe and protected from the virus. Additionally, if a coach tests positive he/she and other members of our coaching staff and skaters will have to quarantine for at least 14 days. This would most likely shut our program down due to a lack of staffing and could potentially lead to a long term if not permanent loss of ice time, which would negatively affect your skater and his/her ability to continue doing something they really enjoy. So, while we know masks are not always comfortable, and everyone has their own opinion about them please understand that we are just trying to provide a healthy place for our skaters to train & a safe place for our coaches to work.

Thank you for your understanding and cooperation in supporting a safe figure skating environment.
