About Us & History
2018 Marks Spokane Figure Skating Club's 84th Anniversary
Spokane Figure Skating Club (SFSC) was organized in 1934 and is a member of U.S. Figure Skating, which was founded in 1921. SFSC is also a member of the Pacific Northwest Inter-Club Association ("PNIC"). PNIC meets quarterly and promotes a unified skating community, as well as hosting an annual competition during the summer for skaters registered with U.S. Figure Skating.
SFSC has been instrumental in the formation of a number of ice skating clubs on the Pacific Coast and in Canada. Since its formation, the club has promoted and participated in all aspects of amateur figure skating. Some of our skaters have represented Spokane as a member of the U.S. Figure Skating International Team competing in the United States, Canada, and Europe.
Our membership is primarily comprised of people from Washington and Idaho, as our home ice rink is located in Coeur d'Alene, Idaho (Frontier Ice Arena); the rink is approximately 30 minutes from Spokane, WA.
SFSC is a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization, and as such, donations to the club are tax-deductible to the extent of IRS laws. Click here for our IRS Affirmation Letter.
Spokane Figure Skating Club offers high quality programs and a welcoming environment that supports recreational and competitive skaters to define and reach their own personal level of success.
Inspiring all to embrace the joy of skating.
We run a skating program in Coeur d'Alene, Idaho, under the name of Lake City Figure Skating.
